Friday Lunch Series, week one

These events transpired on 9/3/2004
Dining companion: Patricia Tang (cousin)
Location: Mario's La Fiesta

I had a pork Chile Verde super burrito (no cheese or sour cream). Patricia had a ground beef and rice grilled burrito (no beans).

About my burrito: For those of you who don't already know, pork chile verde, one of my favorite burrito fillings, is chunks of pork slowly simmered in tomatillo and green chiles, until all is tender. The beans were refried and smooth, and the guacamole added another layer of flavor. Mario's La Fiesta quite possibly makes my favorite burrito in the East Bay.

Our conversation mainly consisted of me asking her how her classes were going, how she enjoyed living in the Unit-3 Dormitory, and of course, how she liked her burrito.

I love your new blog Lou. I wish I could go out and eat every friday but I have freaking school. Good luck with those burritoes, and try not to get too gassy. - Dan (Your little brother)

This is brilliant, I am going to totally steal this from you and do the same thing with saturdays. Chile verde is a personal favorite as well, next time you're out in my neck of the woods I recommend the Senor Taco carnitas
